The House Rules

Safe Space

We spend a lot of time in dark rooms with loud music and strangers. The deal is simple: this is a sanctuary for the weird, the loud, the queer, the newcomers and the lifers. Everyone is welcome. These are the rules that keep it that way.

01

Leave your ego at the door

This is a community for music lovers, not gatekeepers. If you're here to look down on other people's taste, you're in the wrong place. Every scene starts with someone hearing a band for the first time.

02

Zero tolerance for harassment

Racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, ableism — none of it flies here. On the site, in the comments, in the pit. We protect our own. If you see something, tell a mod immediately.

03

Respect the room

No unsolicited flash photography in the front row. Don't film entire sets on your phone in someone's face. Talk during the quiet bits and someone will (rightly) glare at you.

04

Look after each other

If someone goes down in the pit, pick them up. Water is free at every venue we cover — ask for it. If a friend needs to leave, leave with them. The gig will still be there.

05

Credit the people making it happen

Tag the bands, tag the venues, tag the promoters, tag the photographers. Small scenes survive on visibility.
